Will God punish me if I disobey my parents and leave home to protect my life, because they are forcing me to marry someone who makes me cry and grieves me, and they neither believe me nor care about my suffering?

Our advice to you is to seek Allah's help, strive for understanding with your husband, consult wise people, and remove the causes of misunderstanding to achieve affection and harmony. If that does not work, and you are harmed by staying, then there is no blame upon you for seeking to separate from him through divorce or khulʿ. If your parents prevent you, you are not obligated to obey them, and your disobedience to them would not be considered an act of disrespect (ʿuqūq); for obedience is in what is right and is not obligatory in matters that harm the child.
