Is it permissible to buy foodstuff from supermarkets that sell alcoholic beverages, knowing that they refrain from selling them in Ramadan?

The basic principle is the permissibility of purchasing food items from anyone who possesses them. However, in Muslim countries, it is not permissible to buy from commercial stores that sell alcoholic beverages if other options are available. This is because it is obligatory to boycott these places where disobedience to Allah is openly declared and denounced. The lowest degree of denunciation is to boycott these places. If Muslims were to boycott them, they would suffer losses, which would deter them from trading in prohibited items. Muslims' purchases from these stores strengthen them and support their activities at the expense of spreading prohibitions and vices. Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
