It is permissible to work on designing permissible facilities such as residential and medical units. However, it is not permissible to design buildings specifically for usurious banks, nightclubs, or taverns, due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." There is also no objection to working in a company that mixes prohibited and permissible activities, provided that one refrains from any work that Islamic law has forbidden.
