What should one do who vowed to recite Surat Ya-Sin for his deceased mother at her grave every Friday, but was unable to fulfill his vow due to travel circumstances and current events? Is he absolved from the vow, or is he permitted to recite it and dedicate it to her from a place other than the agreed-upon location?

Some scholars dislike reading at the grave. And whoever vows to do something disliked (makruh) should offer an expiation for his vow, like the expiation for an oath, and not do it. It was narrated from Al-Marwadhi that whoever vows to read at his father's grave should offer expiation for his oath and not read. Some considered it an innovation (bid'ah).
