The answer

Merely attributing a defect to a group or an unspecified person is not considered backbiting if they are not distinguished by a description that the listener recognizes them by. Mentioning the faults of the husband's family or others without specifying individuals is not considered backbiting. However, it is better to avoid that unless there is a need.
