What should a young man do about his wife's delayed pregnancy?
A Muslim must strive diligently in supplication (Du'a), for it is among the best acts of worship and a means to achieve needs. Among the supplications for procreation and offspring are:
The supplication of Zakariya (peace be upon him): "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication." and "My Lord, do not leave me alone [without an heir], while you are the best of inheritors."
The supplication of Ibrahim (peace be upon him): "My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
The supplication of Yunus (peace be upon him): "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
Frequent seeking of forgiveness (Istighfar), for Allah Almighty says: "And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continual] showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.'"
