What is the ruling on ablution (wudu') and ritual purification (ghusl) if there is hair under the skin or pimples containing hair? Does this take the ruling of dead, peeling skin? Is redoing (the purification) necessary?

This religion is one of ease, and excessive meticulousness and extremism in purification are blameworthy in Islamic law. Peeling pimples for the sake of purification is an blameworthy extremism. Therefore, you must cast off these obsessive thoughts and perform purification normally, bearing in mind that the leg (saq) is not among the limbs washed during ablution. Rather, the ankles (ka'ban) are washed where the foot meets the leg. Indulging in obsessive thoughts is one of the greatest causes of evil. Therefore, you must turn away from them, distract yourself, and seek help from Allah.
