Is a man who embraced Islam on the twenty-sixth of Ramadan obligated to fast the remaining days of the month?

If a disbeliever embraces Islam in Ramadan, he is obligated to fast the remainder of the blessed month. However, he is not obligated to make up the days he missed before embracing Islam. This is the view of the majority of scholars. As for the day he embraced Islam, it is more cautious for him to make it up.
