Divorce is the dissolution of the marriage bond by the husband. It is divided into (normative) and Bid'ah (innovative). Sunnah divorce is when the husband divorces his wife while she is pregnant, or during a period of purity in which he has not touched her. Bid'ah divorce is when the husband divorces his wife while she is menstruating or in postpartum bleeding, or during a period of purity in which he has touched her. It is also divided into revocable and irrevocable. Revocable divorce is when the husband divorces for the first or second time, and irrevocable divorce is when he divorces for the third time.
