Is it permissible to eat from the money of one's father, which was earned from a café that includes forbidden things, for the purpose of devoting oneself to seeking Islamic knowledge, or is it obligatory to leave the house and search for a lawful job, with the potential difficulty that may result from balancing work with seeking knowledge and maintaining prayers?

Playing with dice is forbidden, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever plays with backgammon (nardshir) is as if he dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig," and "Whoever plays with dice has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger." Wealth obtained from unlawful means has grave consequences, including being deprived of having one's supplication answered, and the heart becoming diseased or dying. It is permissible to eat from a father's wealth if it is mixed with both lawful and unlawful earnings, though it is preferable to avoid it.
