Is eating from the money of a father who works in a billiard hall considered eating ill-gotten gains, if the son refrains from eating from this money and relies on his own earnings, but then is forced to return to it?

Eating unlawful (haram) wealth has severe consequences, including the withholding of prayers' answers and the illness or death of the heart. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, indicated the connection between the soundness or corruption of the heart and the eating of unlawful or lawful sustenance. As for the legal ruling, it is permissible to eat from the wealth of someone whose money is mixed with both lawful and unlawful earnings, and all other transactions with him are permissible. However, if one's wealth is purely from unlawful sources, then none of these things are permissible with him. It is incumbent to enjoin good and forbid evil, and to offer sincere advice to the father.
