What is the sin of children who eat from their father's ill-gotten money, and does that affect their lives?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If the children are young or adults incapable of earning lawful money, it is permissible for them to take from their father's unlawful money out of necessity, just like someone compelled to eat carrion. However, if they become capable of dispensing with this money, it becomes unlawful for them to take it, as the necessity no longer exists. If they take it after being able to earn lawful money, they will be held accountable for it, and its blessing will be removed, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No flesh nourished by unlawful wealth shall enter Paradise; the Fire is more befitting for it."
