Can the word "Rabb" in the Quran be interpreted as meaning "nurturing," and does this interpretation add to its interpretation as "owner," "master," or "controller"?

"Al-Rabb" (the Lord) linguistically has multiple meanings, including the nurturer, the owner, and the master. It encompasses reform and care, and it is applied to the one who manages, sustains, and bestows blessings.

Many exegetes have stated that the meaning of "Al-Rabb" in the Qur'an comes with the sense of the nurturer, as Al-Sa'di explained that Allah's nurturing of His creation is of two types: a general one, which includes creation, provision, and guidance, and a specific one for His devoted servants, nurturing them with faith and guiding them to it. Therefore, most of the supplications of the prophets begin with the word "Al-Rabb" because all their requests fall under His specific Lordship.

Ibn Taymiyyah says that the name "Al-Rabb" is the Nurturer, the Creator, the Provider, the Helper, the Guide, and He is most deserving of the names of seeking help and asking, which is why it is used in supplications such as "My Lord, forgive me" and "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves."
