Is it permissible to take a portion of the partners' money as compensation for lost rights, with the suspicion that one of the partners is unaware of this?

It is not permissible for an employee to sell for their own benefit during work hours and in the workplace, as this involves wasting time, exploiting the premises, and causing the employer to miss out on profit.

However, if the employer infringes upon the employee's right to their days off or overtime hours, then it is permissible for the employee to take from the employer's money an amount equivalent to their right. This is known as the issue of al-Zafar bil-Haqq (obtaining one's right).

If the partner in the company permits you to sell for your own benefit, and this partner does the same with other employees to compensate them for their rights, then you are permitted to act according to this permission, even if the profit exceeds your foregone right, as long as it remains within the limits of the permission.

All financial rights should be fully agreed upon when renewing the contract to avoid such problems.
