How can I overcome not consistently performing the obligatory prayers and being disobedient to my husband, despite my commitment to some acts of worship, and how can I remove the hatred from my heart towards a girl who hurt me?
The status of prayer is great; Allah has threatened those who abandon it or are heedless of it with torment, and it is the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment. A wife's obedience to her husband in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah is a confirmed right. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would have commanded the wife to prostrate to her husband." And he is her paradise and her hell. As for hatred, it is a blameworthy characteristic. A Muslim should forgive and overlook so that Allah may forgive him, and he should strive to rid himself of it. If she is unable to do so, there is no sin upon her as long as she does not act upon it or speak of it.
