What is the ruling on someone who remembers death daily before sleep after reciting the remembrances, longs to meet Allah, prepares for the departure of the soul, and awaits angels with white faces, all while remembering, glorifying, praising, and exalting Allah?

The Muslim is commanded to remember death frequently, following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Remembering death before sleep is an act of compliance with this command. Among the fruits of remembering death is diligence in worship. Imagining the soul departing and the white angels is permissible; indeed, the description of white angels at the departure of the believing soul has been authentically reported in the noble Hadith. As for yearning for Allah Almighty, this is a good matter, as it was among his (peace be upon him) supplications: "And I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face, and the yearning to meet You." Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned that yearning to meet Allah is among the most noble and sublime stations of servants, for love necessitates yearning, and the lover is always yearning to meet his beloved.
