What is the ruling on seeking intercession from the Family of the Prophet on the Day of the Greatest Terror, and does this contradict the Hadith of Intercession mentioned in Al-Bukhari, which states that intercession belongs to our master Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him?

The aforementioned statement does not contain an appeal for help (istighatha) and does not contradict the hadith (definition) of the Great Intercession. However, it carries impermissible religious implications, including disparagement and insinuation against the Prophet's companions (peace be upon him) by saying: "Head for the sea and leave the channels," which implies belittling the companions. Another impermissible implication is imitating the people of innovation and exaggerating in glorifying the Prophet's household by saying: "Grant me to one of them," whereas Allah Almighty has encouraged us to supplicate to Him and seek forgiveness directly from Him, as stated in His words: "Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire" (Quran 3:16) and "Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and take us in death with the righteous" (Quran 3:193). Allah has clarified that intercessors do not intercede except for whom Allah approves, and whoever innovates in religion or associates partners with Allah will not benefit from the intercession of the intercessors.
