What is the way to marry a young man one met online, despite the parents' rejection due to him being her age and still at the beginning of his life, and from a distant country, knowing that he is religious and very keen to marry her, and that he only lacks the financial means for marriage?

It is advisable for a young man and woman to sever their relationship before marriage to prevent temptation (fitna), unless the young man is religious and of good character, and the parents reject him without a valid reason. In such a case, the parents would be considered unjust obstructors of their daughter's marriage.

In this situation, the girl may present her case to a judge, who can either compel the guardian to marry her to the man she desires, or the judge himself may act as her guardian in marriage.

If a guardian prevents a woman from marrying a suitable suitor, the guardianship transfers to the legitimate ruler (Shariah judge).

The girl can try to convince her parents to marry her to this young man and seek assistance from someone who holds influence with her father. If the parents do not agree, she can either be patient and forgo marrying him, or she can refer the matter to the judiciary.
