Is the money the wife received as compensation for a car accident permissible or forbidden, and does the husband have a share in it?

It is permissible for Muslims residing in non-Islamic countries or countries without Sharia courts to receive compensation for disasters and unintentional offenses, such as traffic accidents. This is due to the absence of Sharia courts that assess blood money (diyat), and because many of these offenses do not have a legally prescribed compensation (arsh), and their resolution depends on ijtihad (independent reasoning) to achieve justice. The injured party has the right to receive the compensation amount and hospital costs. The rest of her family members have no right to it unless she willingly gives them something out of her own accord.
