What causes an increase in faith?

There are three main reasons for an increase in faith:

1. Knowledge of Allah through His Names and Attributes: The more a person increases in knowledge of Allah and His attributes, the more his faith increases. 2. Contemplation of Allah's Signs: Reflecting upon Allah's cosmic signs (His creations) and legislative signs increases faith, as Allah Almighty says: (And on the earth are signs for those of assured faith, and in yourselves. Do you not then see?) 3. Abundance of Obedient Acts: Performing numerous acts of obedience, both verbal and physical, such as dhikr (remembrance of Allah), prayer, fasting, and Hajj, increases faith in both quantity and quality.
