It is the wife’s right upon her husband that he provide her with suitable housing where she will not be exposed to harm. The housing should be commensurate with their financial ability, whether rich or poor. The husband may house her wherever he wishes, but among righteous neighbors. We advise the husband to strive to provide suitable and secure housing according to his ability, and we advise the wife to be patient and gentle with her husband as long as he is not unwilling to provide suitable housing.
