The answer

If a husband says to his wife: "You are divorced, divorced, divorced," and he intended one [divorce] or had no intention, then it is a single divorce. If he intended three, then it is three. Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce unless it removes consciousness. His statement to his wife: "If you leave the house, you will be divorced," followed by her leaving, causes the divorce to occur, even if he did not intend it. This is the view of the majority of jurists. And with this, the major separation (al-baynunah al-kubra) has occurred between them. It is important to be aware of the danger of Satan in sowing discord and separation among relatives.
