Marital disputes are natural, and spouses must exercise reason, patience, and strive for reconciliation, especially when children are present, as separation negatively impacts their upbringing. It is advisable to seek assistance from experienced individuals within both families to reach a solution, alongside abundant supplication. The wife must reside where her husband resides unless there is a legitimate شرعي excuse; otherwise, she becomes disobedient (nashiz). The children's maintenance is the father's responsibility and is not waived if the mother travels with them. If the mother resides in Qatar, custody belongs to the father according to the majority of jurists.
