The answer

Divorce does not occur merely by supplicating for separation; rather, it occurs through an explicit formula or an implicit expression that signifies divorce, accompanied by the intention. It is advisable for the husband not to hasten to divorce, but to be patient and strive to resolve marital problems, for Allah, the Almighty, says: "And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good." [An-Nisa: 19]. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A believing man should not hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." ( Muslim).
