Is a wife divorced by triple talaq if her husband agrees with her opinion after saying, "By triple talaq, what you are saying will not pass; not another word," or is she divorced if he disagrees with her opinion and implements her opinion?

The pivot of a broken oath lies in your intention and purpose. If you intended that your wife be divorced by three pronouncements if you agreed with her opinion, then the divorce occurs if you do so. And if you intended that a triple divorce occur if you carried out her opinion, which is contrary to yours, then the divorce occurs if that happens. And in the event that the condition upon which you suspended it occurs, the majority of scholars hold that your wife becomes unlawful for you and will not become lawful again unless she marries another husband and he divorces her after consummating the marriage. This is contrary to Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, who holds that an expiation for breaking an oath is required if you did not intend divorce but rather a threat, or that a single divorce occurs if you intended divorce.
