What is the ruling on a wife visiting a sick person in her home, after her husband prevented her from visiting her in the hospital and threatened to send her to her family's house if she did so?

The husband's statement to his wife, "If you go to her, then do not return home and go to your father's house," is an allusive divorce (kinayah talaq (definition)) contingent on his wife's visit to that sick person. An allusive divorce does not take effect unless there is an intention to enact it. If the husband intended divorce, then his intention is what matters regarding whether the visit was in the hospital or elsewhere. If he intended to make the divorce contingent on her visit to that sick person, then it is effective, and he may take her back, provided it does not complete the three divorces. If he did not intend divorce at all, or if he intended to make it contingent only on a visit to the hospital, then nothing is binding on him, and his wife remains under his marital bond.
