Does a divorce issued by a husband during his illness take effect, and what are its implications, and what is the advice for one who believes in astrology and omens, and one who issues fatwas without knowledge?

Astrology is unanimously forbidden and is a branch of sorcery. Astrologers believe that stars influence events, but this is an illusion. Stars are merely adornments for the sky, projectiles against devils, and signs by which people are guided. It is not permissible to consult astrologers and soothsayers or to believe them. Whoever approaches them and asks them questions, their prayer will not be accepted for forty nights, and whoever believes them has committed an act of disbelief. One must repent to Allah for having done so.

Regarding divorce, a triple divorce pronounced in a single utterance counts as a single divorce. This was the practice during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, Abu Bakr, and the early caliphate of Umar. If the divorcer is mentally incapacitated (an imbecile), his divorce does not count. However, if he is of sound mind, it counts as a single divorce. Sexual intercourse between a husband and his wife after a divorce is considered a revocation of the divorce, provided there is an intention to do so. If he does not have intercourse with her until she gives birth, she has exited her waiting period, and he may return to her with a new marriage contract and a new dowry.

The Mufti (definition) must fear Allah and only issue fatwas based on knowledge, for speaking about Allah without knowledge is among the gravest sins and the greatest misguidances.
