The answer

What the sister mentioned about the invalidity of a marriage contract that has not been publicized is incorrect, as publicizing it is not a condition for the validity of a marriage contract. Rather, publicizing it is only recommended and not obligatory according to most scholars, as Ibn Qudamah mentioned. There is no jurisprudential problem with the validity of a marriage contract that includes offer and acceptance between the woman's guardian or his agent and the man or his agent, and in the presence of two witnesses, unless there is an impediment to its validity, especially if it has been registered and documented.
