The question

Does doubt regarding the Islam of the guardian affect the validity of the marriage contract, and is it necessary to renew the contract in this case, knowing that the doubt stems from obsessive-compulsive disorder and an old incident involving my father with a sorcerer?

The answer

"The has placed divorce in the husband's hand, and it does not occur unless he pronounces it. The default is that a marriage is valid if it fulfills its conditions. The default is that the father is Muslim, and it is not permissible to doubt this without evidence. Not every act that could lead to disbelief necessarily makes one a disbeliever; rather, conditions must be met and impediments must be absent. It is advisable to disregard whispers about the invalidity of marriage, as they are from Satan. And whoever goes to a soothsayer does not become a disbeliever merely by this act."
