The answer

The matter is easy, Allah willing. Once the divorced woman's (waiting period) is over, she should contact her wali (guardian) to approve your marriage to her. He can appoint someone in her country of residence or yours to marry her on his behalf. You can also appoint the same person or another to accept on your behalf. In the marriage contract, it is sufficient for the one who handles both parties to say: "I have married so-and-so to so-and-so" without saying: "I have accepted her marriage for him," or if he is the groom, he can say: "I have married her" without saying: "I have accepted her marriage for myself," or if he is her agent, he can say: "I have married her for my client so-and-so." Authorization by phone is permissible.

We advise you to have witnesses for the girl's acceptance of you and to officially document both the agency and the contract, while observing the Shariah conditions that must be met in the wali and his agent, the witnesses, and other conditions for the validity of the marriage contract.
