"Praise be to Allah. The marriage of a Muslim woman to a non-believer is invalid according to Islamic law and they must be separated, based on Quranic verses. If the man converts to Islam, a new marriage contract must be conducted because the first contract is invalid.

The reason for prohibiting the marriage of a Muslim woman to a non-believer is due to two reasons: 1- Islam is superior and cannot be superseded, and the authority belongs to the husband, which may affect her religion and the children as well. 2- A Muslim respects the religion of the People of the Book due to his belief in their book and their prophet, while a non-believer neither believes in nor respects the religion of the Muslim woman, leaving no room for understanding and harmony."
