The answer

Allah has legislated marriage to fulfill instincts and achieve psychological stability, as evidenced by the noble verses and prophetic hadiths that encourage it. Marriage should be facilitated, and no obstacles should be placed in its way. This includes the lengthy waiting period between the marriage contract and consummation, under the pretext of the girl completing her studies, especially since there is no impediment to her continuing her studies after consummation. Furthermore, the father has no right to prevent his daughter from meeting her husband after the contract. The husband should expedite consummation, and the wife is advised to tread a middle path between obeying her husband and obeying her father, either by seeking his permission or by confining their meetings to the home until Allah facilitates the consummation.
