Is it permissible for the marriage contract to be solemnized between the proxy of the absent groom and the girl, in the presence of the families of both parties?

The marriage contract is valid with代理. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) appointed the Negus to solemnize his marriage to Ramla bint Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with them both). Therefore, there is no harm in appointing the father, brother, or anyone else to solemnize the marriage contract.
