Is it permissible to conclude the marriage contract and delay consummation until the pregnant wife gives birth, or is it obligatory to wait and repent?

A man is permitted to marry more than one wife, up to four, provided he is able to treat them justly and provide for them financially. He may عقد النكاح (perform the marriage contract) now and postpone الدخول (consummation) until his first wife gives birth, or he may combine both the contract and the consummation. He should hasten the marriage contract to avoid committing haram (definition) (unlawful acts). He must fear Allah and be just among his wives. It is not permissible for him to have a relationship with a foreign woman before the marriage contract, and if it occurs, he must repent and cut off the relationship.
