The answer

The contract is valid if two acceptable and righteous witnesses are present among those attending. The crucial elements are their presence at the contract, their hearing of it, and their being righteous and acceptable witnesses. A large number of people can substitute for this if righteous witnesses are unavailable. Doubts about the form of offer and acceptance after the contract do not affect its validity, because the presumption is that the contract was completed in its known form. Marriage is concluded by whatever people consider to be a marriage, using any language, word, or action.
