Is the marriage contract valid if the husband concealed a defect from his wife before the contract, despite his knowledge of the obligation to inform her? And does the contract become void by this, or does she only have the right to choose? And is it necessary to renew the contract if they choose to continue the marriage?

The defect that must be mentioned to the matchmaker is that by which the annulment of the marriage is established if found in the husband, and whoever conceals it has committed deception. This defect does not affect the validity of the contract, but the woman has the right to accept the marriage after knowing about it, or to annul it if she is not pleased. So the contract is valid, and its ratification or annulment depends on the wife's acceptance or non-acceptance after she becomes aware of the defect.
