Is the Sunnah for the wedding feast (walimah) three days after consummating the marriage, and how should these days be: should it be by inviting people for three consecutive days, or by dividing the invitees over three days?

It is not from the Sunnah (definition) to make the Walimah (definition) for more than one day, but it is permissible to extend it beyond one day as long as there is no extravagance or waste.

Some scholars have held the view that it is permissible to have the Walimah for several days. Some of them consider it permissible for up to three days, while others have gone further, deeming it desirable for up to seven days. Imam Al-Bukhari, in preferring this view, stated: "Chapter: Responding to the Walimah and the invitation, and whoever made a Walimah for seven days. The Prophet -peace be upon him- did not specify one or two days."

It is preferable for the Walimah to be extended in its timing from the marriage contract until the end of the wedding days, and that the invitation not be repeated for the same guests. Rather, on each day, new guests who were not invited before should be invited.
