What are the duties incumbent upon a divorced woman who has been exempted from maintenance and deferred dower during her waiting period (iddah)?

If the divorce is based on ibra' (release) from maintenance, then maintenance is waived for the husband, and he is only liable for the deferred dowry (mu'akhkhar as-sadaq). The waiting period (iddah (definition)) for a woman who seeks khul' (divorce at the wife's instance, often involving a return of dowry) is the same as that for a divorced woman. She must remain in the marital home during this period and should not leave her home during the day except for a need, nor at night except for a necessity.
