What is the most preponderant opinion, its evidence, and the reason for its preponderancy regarding the ruling on divorcing a woman who intentionally leaves the house after her husband tells her, "If you leave the house, you are divorced," mentioning the scholars' differing opinions on this?

If a man says to his wife, "If you do such and such, then you are divorced," and she does it, then the divorce occurs. This is the view of the majority of scholars and the preponderant opinion. The husband is the one who chose to make the divorce contingent upon her action, and it is as if he himself initiated the divorce. This is supported by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There are three matters whose seriousness is serious and whose jest is serious: marriage, divorce, and manumission." As for Ashhab's view that there is no violation of the oath if the woman intended to make her husband violate it, it is weak.
