The answer

The list of furnishings is not without one of two situations: either it is attached to the Mahr (dowry), or it is a gift from the husband. If it is attached to the Mahr and an increment to it is conditional (such as the continuation of marital life for one year without problems), then this condition is permissible according to some jurists, like Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, if it serves a legitimate purpose, such as good companionship. If it is a gift contingent on a condition, it is valid and only becomes binding upon the fulfillment of the condition, which is the choice of Ibn Taymiyyah. In both cases, the wife is not entitled to the list due to her non-compliance with the condition. In case of dispute, the matter must be presented to the court or a knowledgeable person for resolution.
