What is the ruling on the relationship between spouses during the 'iddah period?

If the 'iddah (definition) (waiting period) is revocable, the woman is still considered in a marital state and should not leave her divorced husband's house. It is permissible for him to be alone with her, for her to adorn herself for him, and for him to look at her. If he enjoys her company, it constitutes a return (to the marriage). However, if the 'iddah is for an irrevocable divorce, the woman is considered a stranger to her divorced husband. It is not permissible for him to be alone with her, look at her, or speak with her except according to the lawful regulations applicable to any strange woman.
