What should a wife do if her husband refuses to undergo necessary fertility treatment, while her psychological state deteriorates and she rejects divorce?
"Achieving offspring is one of the most important objectives of marriage, and Islam calls for procreation and multiplication. However, the husband is not obligated to take treatment.
The husband should not refrain from seeking treatment as long as it is possible and does not entail any -related prohibitions.
It is correct to obey the husband in not informing anyone about this, as it is better for the couple not to declare their secrets.
The husband's refusal of treatment gives the wife the right to seek divorce. However, if she does not want a divorce and he does not want treatment, then the only option remaining is to stay with him without having children, while attempting to persuade him to seek treatment."
