Is a wife considered disobedient (nashiz) if she takes a taxi alone – after her husband gave permission for her to go to the doctor, was aware of her illness, and refused to drive her – and then her husband punishes her by abandoning her for a full month?

If the wife is compelled to ride in a car alone with the driver due to the absence of a mahram (definition) and her extreme need to see a doctor, she is not disobedient (nashiz) and is not to be blamed. Rather, the blame lies with the husband who allowed her to go alone because he was displeased with the pregnancy. The husband must fear Allah and treat his wife with kindness. It is not permissible for him to abandon her for a month because of the pregnancy, nor should he shirk (definition) his responsibilities and duties towards her.
