The answer

A Muslim may begin making up for missed fasts on any day, as long as it is not a day forbidden for fasting, such as Eid. It is preferable for him to hasten in making up these fasts. Making up fasts on days when fasting is recommended (such as Mondays and Thursdays) may be better, provided that this does not delay the prompt and continuous completion of the missed fasts.
