Is it obligatory for someone who has not verified her purity by inspecting the place to make up the missed prayers and fasts?

If a woman performs ghusl (definition) before verifying her purity, out of ignorance, there is a difference of opinion regarding the necessity of making up the prayers. A woman who suffers from scrupulosity (waswasah) is permitted to follow the opinion of those who do not deem making up the prayers necessary. As for fasting, it is valid because performing ghusl from menstruation is not a condition for its validity. A woman who suffers from scrupulosity must strive against these whisperings and disregard them.
