The answer

Waswasa (obsessive whispering/thoughts) is a serious illness, and Shaytan rejoices in confusing the servant regarding their worship. To get rid of it, the person afflicted with waswasa must hold fast to Allah, strive against their own self, and cast away the waswasa. Therefore, she should perform ablution and pray only once, without paying attention to the thoughts, and her fasting is valid as long as she does not intentionally do something that breaks the fast. Intentionally ejaculating semen invalidates the fast, but mere thoughts do not entail a ruling unless something is emitted. The person afflicted with waswasa must ignore these thoughts. She should also acquire sound religious knowledge from its correct sources.
