Using the patch does not invalidate the fast, because it is like ointments that do not break the fast, even if they penetrate the pores of the skin. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen mentioned that oiling oneself while fasting is not among the things that invalidate the fast, as it does not fall under the definition of eating and drinking. Therefore, there is no harm in using it.
