Is someone who fasts on Mondays and Wednesdays considered to be observing the fast of David?

The fast of David, peace be upon him, is to fast one day and break the fast the next, as explained by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. And whoever fasts only on Mondays and Thursdays will be rewarded for his fasting, but he will not be considered to be observing the fast of David.
