Can a man perform an act of magic on a woman to force her into an illicit relationship?
You have done well by refusing the illicit relationship, and this is the way of a believing woman who does not permit an emotional relationship with a non- man. As for magic (sihr), it is a reality, but it can only affect by Allah's permission. Therefore, seek refuge with your Lord, and be diligent in reciting the Quran, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and supplications. If there is no necessity for you to work in this place, leave it and look for another job. If there is no pressing need to reside in a land of disbelief, then emigrate to a Muslim country. And if you are unmarried, seek a way to get married, and it is permissible for you to look for husbands and propose yourself to whomever you desire.
