Does being born to a father from Puerto Rico and a mother who is white prevent one from becoming a Muslim?

What you mentioned does not prevent you from embracing Islam. Islam is a religion for all humanity, regardless of their colors, countries, or languages. And the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is a messenger to all people. Allah Almighty says: (Say, "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all.") No one has superiority over another in Islam except by piety. Allah Almighty says: (Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.) The diversity of tongues and colors is among the signs of Allah. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade racial discrimination and despising people of color, and he said: "There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a red-skinned person over a black-skinned person, except by piety." Hasten to Islam, and you will be happy in this world and the Hereafter.
